Revamped 4 Slides of iTeachCS Frontpage Slideshow.

I revamped the 4 slides of the iTeachCS Frontpage Slideshow.  It takes time to identify appropriate images, crop and paste and blend the images.  I discovered that every slide must be precisely 1140 pixels wide x 350 pixels high or else the screen jumps each time a slide of a different height appears.  I tried to make each of the four slides reflect the essence of the iTeachCS site.

  1. The University of Calgary hosts the iTeachCS and CSTAAB web sites, so I assigned one slide to the UofC Department of Computer Science.
  2. The Khan Academy is responsible for the absolute beginner's course, Intro to JavaScript that forms the backbone of the grade 10 course, CSE 10.
  3. Udacity and San Jose University are responsible for the highly respectable Introduction to Java Programming course that forms the background of the grade 11 and 12 courses, CSE 20 and CSE 30.
  4. BlueJ is the Integrated Development Environment (IDE) used in working with the Java programming language in the grade 11 and 12 courses, CSE 20 and CSE 30.

Each slide links to the site most related to the substance of the slide.

I hope that the slides are simultaneously eye catching, relevant and informative.
